“We’ve been to most of the drama camps in Sydney and this was the best by far”

WINTER HOLIDAY STAGE CAMP

Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 October, 2024

Inspired by the Year 9 boy who said "I wouldn’t be seen dead in a musical", we bring you...

BROADWAY with a KILL COUNT

Broadway with a Kill Count is about young actors at a theatre camp (think our theatre camp - it’s meta), who must battle against a supernatural musical theatre force greater than themselves.

Traversing the Broadway giants of ‘The Book of Mormon, Mamma Mia, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Beetlejuice, Heathers, Stranger Things and Sweeney Todd, Broadway with a Kill Count is a hilarious homage to musical theatre and the kids who would rather die than be in one, and is four days of your life you will not want to miss.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

On the first day, we divide kids into groups according to their age, experience and interests, with approx. 10 to 12 in each group. Each group is immediately launched into casting, and a rotation of rehearsals working with some of Sydney’s leading professional youth directors from NIDA and WAAPA and musical theatre singers and choreographers. The kids will brainstorm ideas for the plot of their play, develop the scenes, learn a song and dance routine and rehearse it all up for an incredible performance on the final night.

Epiphany Arts Youth Theatre is famous for our holiday stage camps with over 80% of kids coming back to do them again. We NEVER do the same thing twice and whether kids are starting out or experience performers, we keep them on their toes every time. It’s a HUGE amount of effort and fun and teaches kids to build character, confidence, creativity, collaboration and communication skills that are invaluable throughout life. They also make like minded friends that can last throughout the years.
